Jose Torres is a twenty year military veteran who has successfully transitioned into the civilian business world. He has over twenty-five years of experience managing finances, resources and projects on national and international levels.
Early in his military career, Mr. Torres was responsible for coordinating and managing the disestablishment of several military commands. This included the management of various financial accounts, avionics inventory, and accurately accounting and forecasting the command’s operational requirements during the closeout. Jose was also awarded with a Navy Commendation Medal for creating a financial/logistics forecast tool that enabled a US Navy Carrier Air Wing to perform military missions with the highest performance rates and the lowest costs. Later, this tool was turned over to the US Navy to continue use in the future. Mr. Torres was considered a subject matter expert in the Navy for developing financial forecasting models.
After retirement from the US Navy, Mr. Torres was selected to work with US Forces in Iraq to coordinate, advise and assist with the responsible drawdown efforts of US forces in Iraq. Within a short time, he was able to develop a business model that saved the Department of Defense billions of dollars and ensured US Forces met the POTUS’ executive order to withdraw from Iraq.
Mr. Torres holds an MBA and a Master’s of Finance degree both from Tulane University, an undergraduate degree from Columbia University, he is a Certified Project Management Professional, and he is licensed Real Estate Agent.
When not working you can find Jose spending time with his wife Moire or coaching/attending one of his kid’s sports teams. Jose has 4 children Bree, AJ, Jordan and Everett and one grandchild Sophia.
